כתוב בפרשה תולדות:

[בראשית כה כג] וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה לָהּ שְׁנֵי גיים [גוֹיִם] בְּבִטְנֵךְ וּשְׁנֵי לְאֻמִּים מִמֵּעַיִךְ יִפָּרֵדוּ וּלְאֹם מִלְאֹם יֶאֱמָץ וְרַב יַעֲבֹד צָעִיר.

נכון מאד הפירוש של ילקוט שמעוני:

ורב יעבד צעיר.- אם זכה – יעבוד, ואם לאו – יעבד:

יש בפירוש זה מאמר חשוב ביותר: הגורל שלנו, של בני ישראל, לא תלוי בעמים אחרים, אלא אך ורק בנו ”אם זכה – יעבוד, ואם לאו – יעבד". לאור זה, אולי יש לבטל את הכסף שהולך למאבק באנטי-שמיות בעולם, ונעביר אותו אל המאבק בתוך עם ישראל, בעד הפסקת שנאת חינם, הגברת יחדות, לימוד תורה, וקיום ציווי ה' .

דווקא האחדות הפנימית והחיבור לתורה הם כלי הנשק היעילים ביותר במאבק באנטישמיות. כאשר עם ישראל מאוחד וחזק בזהותו, הוא מקרין עוצמה שמורידה את המוטיבציה של אויביו. במובן הזה, ההשקעה פנימה היא לא ביטול המאבק החיצוני, אלא ניהולו בצורה הנכונה והיעילה ביותר.

 

It is written in Toldot:
[Genesis 25:23] And the LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb…; and the older shall serve the younger.”

The interpretation of the Yalkut Shimoni is very fitting:

"And the older shall serve the younger": If he [Jacob] is meritorious, the elder will serve him; and if not, he will be served by him.

This interpretation contains a crucial statement: Our destiny does not depend on other nations, but solely on us! Perhaps the funds allocated to the fight against antisemitism in the world should be redirected to the struggle within the Jewish people: ending baseless hatred, increasing unity, Torah study. When the Jewish people are united and strong in their identity, they project a power that diminishes the motivation of their enemies. In this sense, investing inward is not an abandonment of the external struggle, but rather the most correct and effective way to manage it.
